2007-2008 Education / Formation Commission Ministries ˆ Back to Top

Adult Formation (Noel Moran, Chair of Adult Faith Formation)
This committee assists in developing adult faith programs such as the Distinguished Preacher Series, Explorations field trips, book discussion groups, Bible Study, etc.

MATRIX (Paul Tzirides, Youth Minister)
The youth ministry program commits themselves to ongoing opportunities to create spiritual leaders and participants in the church among teenage high school students. Our mission is to bridge the gap between all teenagers to form one community where high school teens are welcomed, accepted and loved. Our ministry offers opportunities for teens to build a relationship with themselves and others leading to a relationship with Christ. Our goal is to continually create a place where teens can call there own.

Parish School (Mary Rehfield, Principal / Patrick Kelley, President of School Board / Pam Perkaus, President of the PTO)
The parish school from Junior Kindergarten through 8th grade has an enrollment of approximately 340 students. The students in the school learn a way of life, one that reflects Catholic spiritual and moral development as well as academic curiosity and achievement. There are many opportunities for parents, grandparents and parishioners to be involved in the school.

Religious Education Program (Susan Doubet, Director / Catherine Caravette, Chair of the Religious Education Board)
This program serves over 660 children of our parish and is focused on faith, formation and family. There are over 100 catechists as well as 140 other parishioners of all ages including 56 teens who give their time and talent to this ministry. There are many short and long-term volunteer needs including catechists, service project coordinators, and many one time events.
