Welcome to the Co-Curricular Page
TECHNOLOGY
The students and staff at Saints Faith, Hope and
Charity School use technology to enrich, enhance and support the
curriculum. “The focus of the technology program is that it
be integrated into all areas of the curriculum. Technology is a
tool to enhance learning in all curricular areas. Technology is
an integral part of how the classroom functions – it should
be as accessible as all other classroom tools. Effective integration
of technology is achieved when students are able to select technology
tools to help them obtain information in a timely manner, analyze
and synthesize the information and present it professionally.”
This is our philosophy.
Faith, Hope and Charity hosts its own network and
web site. We have two computer labs-one with sixteen workstations,
the other with twenty-six, both with Internet access. Each classroom
has a networked computer with access to the Internet. Our library
is a fully automated, with an online card catalog and additional
networked computer. Scanners, digital cameras, printers and projectors
are available devices that enhance the technology program. The computer
labs are writing labs. They are language labs when used with a French
interactive CD-Rom program. They are graphic design labs under the
direction of the art teacher. And they become multimedia centers
when the students are producing presentations. They are learning
centers for the access of all the information available in today’s
digital age. Individuals, small groups and entire classes use these
as resource centers.

ART
Dear Art Students and Parents:
I’ve been spending the last week or so sorting out your beautiful
artwork, and I wanted to take a moment to tell you that all of these
works are so incredible. It’s hard for me to part with them!
It was so wonderful to see all of your creations displayed in the
“Auditorium Gallery”. You should be very proud. I know
I am.
I will be sending all of the artwork home today and Wednesday.
Some of you brought in portfolios, and they really will help to
keep the work from getting damaged. Please take care when bringing
everything home. They are treasures. I hope you’ll keep them
forever. Some of you have many pieces, others only a few. Don’t
be discouraged! If you remember, many of you took artwork home during
the year. There may be some works from last year in your folder.
They were discovered just a week age. If anything is missing, stop
by on Thursday and check in with me, or we can send it home with
you in August.
I wanted to write to each of you individually, and talk about your
portfolio of work. I wasn’t able to do that in the short period
of time we had left, so please know that I understand how hard you
all have worked to make these so beautiful. You have so much talent,
and this gift comes from God. He asks us to use these gifts wisely
and fully. I could see that as I studied your work on display. Each
of us has a different style and expression, and that’s what
makes us unique and special. If you would like to discuss your artwork,
and your future as an artist, I will be here to do that.
I sincerely hope you enjoyed your art experience this year. I think
we all had a lot of fun and learned many new exciting ways of making
Art. There’s more to come next year! I hope to start after
school Art classes for both young students and adults. I look forward
to seeing all of you. Have a great summer – and keep drawing!
Enjoy,
