Hello, I am Barbara Riddle Cegielski. Catholic education has been a huge part of my life personally and professionally my entire life. I grew up in Winnetka and graduated from Sacred Heart School. Woodlands Academy and Barat College in Lake Forest is where I spent my high school and college years. This is my 25th year at Faith Hope and Charity School! A few years ago I completed my Masters Degree in Educational Administration at yet another Catholic institution, Dominican University in River Forest. I’ve taught 3rd grade the majority of my career, however last year I became the part time assistant principal and 5th grade Math/Science teacher. I am very excited about my new position this year as full time assistant principal. It will be wonderful working with our principal, teachers, students, parents, and our PTO to make this a memorable year for all involved. We have many exciting things planned for this year and beyond. It’s fun to watch and be a part of all the enthusiasm!

On a personal note, I’ve been married 22 years. My husband and I live in Lake Forest. We have 3 dogs- 2 golden retrievers, a schnauzer, and a parrot! When I’m not at school, I simply enjoy being at home, walking, and spending time with family and friends. My favorite activities are horseback riding, downhill skiing, boating, and relaxing in the sun.
