As Director of Liturgy, coordinates all aspects of the liturgical life of the parish. Main responsibilities are celebrating the sacraments, preaching the gospel and spiritual care of parishioners. Provides pastoral visits to the sick and bereaved. Ex-officio member of the Parish Council, the Finance Council and the Religious Education Board as well as staff liaison to the Worship and Spiritual Life Commission.

Deacon Mike Cavanaugh (and Jean Cavanaugh)
Primary responsibilities are celebrating the sacraments of Baptism and Marriage, and preaching the gospel. Also responsible with his wife, Jean, for Baptism Preparation.

Susan Martin, Pastoral Associate

Provides part-time support in pastoral matters and administration, including pastoral visits to the sick and bereaved. Staff liaison to the Outreach Commission.
Susan completed a M. Div. Degree in Theology at Loyola University in Chicago, IL in 2000, a M.P.S. Degree in Pastoral Studies at Loyola University in Chicago, IL in 1988, and a B.A. Degree in Social Welfare at Mundelein University in Mundelein, IL in 1983.
Before joining FHC, Susan served as Pastoral Associate at Saint Norbert Parish in Northbrook, IL (1997-2005) and as Oncology Support Coordinator at Kellogg / Cancer Care Center in Evanston Hospital in Evanston, IL (1988-1996).

Jill Neary, Secretary / Receptionist

Susan Doubet, Director of Religious Education

Supervises all aspects of the Religious Education Program, which provides religious formation for children 3.5 years old through 8th grade who attend public schools.
Susan is studying the Master Degree in Theology at the Catholic Theological Union and holds a B.A. Degree in Pastoral Ministry from Brescia University since May 1998.
Before joining FHC, Susan served as DRE at Our Lady of the Brook in Northbrook, IL (2003-2005) and Saint Theresa in Palatine, IL (1998-2003). She also served as Director of Youth Ministry and Religious Education for Youth at Saint Edward Parish in Nashville, TN. In 1997, Susan had a Practicum Experience in Family Life Ministry at Saint John the Evangelist Parish in Lewisburg, TN.

Mary Rehfield, School Principal

Oversees staff and administration of the parish school.
Mary completed an Administration Certification in Education at Lewis University in 2003, a Master Degree in Education at National Louis University in 1996 and a Bachelor Degree in Education - Psychology at Nation College in 1973.
Before joining FHC, Mary served as Principal at St. Joseph School in Wilmette, IL and as Teacher at Elgin Academy and FHC.

Provides part-time coordination of parish communication. Liaison to the communications committee.
Denise completed a Meeting Professional Certification in 1993, a M.A. Degree in Political Science / Urban Studies at St. Louis University in 1968, and a B.A. Degree in Political Science / Education / History at Maryville University in St. Louis, MO in 1966.
At the present time, Denise serves in the Faculty in Hospitality Management at Kendall College in Chicago, IL,
Denise served in the Faculty in Hospitality Management at Northern Illinois University in Dekalb, IL in 2006 and in the NIU Advisory Committee for Hospitality Management Department from 2003 to 2007.
