Men's Club
The Men’s Club looks forward to all Parish men gathering together to share fun and friendship. The Men’s Club was founded in the year 2006 and many of the past men’s activities have been continued in this new organization (Men’s Golf Outing, Lenten Fish Fry and Men’s Retreat). In addition, many of us also participate in the First Friday Club of Chicago (http://www.firstfridayclubchicago.org) whose mission is to provide a forum for men and women to make a connection between work, faith, values and issues that affect our daily lives. The First Friday Club meets for lunch at the Union League Club of Chicago on the first Friday of every month, October through May. Speakers share in the moral dilemmas and social obligations transcending work and involvement in business, education, government, media, neighborhood life as well as many other areas. FHC has a group of parishioners who regularly attend and they welcome all parishioners to join them each month October through May.
The Men’s Club as a group operates in a slightly different manner than the typical Parish organization. Our board meets maybe twice a year and most of our communication is electronic. We do our best to keep the Parish community informed of our “goings on” through the bulletin and Mass announcements as well as approved vestibule advertising. Please feel free to contact anyone on the Executive committee if you have any questions or comments as well as suggestions for new activities we should consider.
