Religious Education Board
Religious Education Board Members
The Religious Education Board, comprised of thirteen members who represent
as well as possible the parish community and the various school districts,
is a valuable and integral body which functions in a supportive, advisory,
and evaluative capacity in order to ensure the continued success of
the Religious Education Program. Each member of the Board is actively
involved in parish life and seeks out the views, concerns, and ideas
of parishioners, and especially, of parents of the RE Program.
Nancy Brooks (New member May 2010)
Nancy and her husband, Pat, have been members of Ss. Faith, Hope &
Charity for the last ten years. Nancy has been a Catechist for five
years, and her husband, Pat, has been a Catechist for the last two years.
Nancy also works as a lawyer for Discover Financial Services and is
on the Board of Haven Youth and Family Services. Nancy and Pat have
three children: Shannon (13), Danny (12), and Anna (10), all of whom
participate in the Faith Hope religious education program.
Mary Cavalier (Member since May 2008)
My husband, Frank, and I have been in our parish 33 years. I taught
7th grade Religious Education for two years. We have five children,
all married, and have fourteen grandchildren. I have been on the FHC
Women’s Guild Board and have volunteered for many other events
in our parish.
Sydney Clark (Member since May 2009)
Sydney has been a life-long member of Ss. Faith, Hope & Charity
Parish. She attended the Religious Education program as a child, then
returned recently as a Kindergarten catechist. She has also helped coordinate
the Stocking Project the past few years. She lives in Northfield with
her husband, Chris, and their 3 children (ages 4-10): Andrew, William
and Hannah.
Angela Connor (New member May 2010)
Angela and her family have been parishioners of Ss. Faith, Hope &
Charity since moving to Winnetka from Chicago in July, 2008. Her professional
background includes over 20 years as an investment analyst with trust
companies and mutual fund companies, and in investor relations for 5
years. She lives in Winnetka with her husband of 12 years, George Connor
and 7-year old twin sons, Alan and Georgie.

Mark A. Dalla Valle, Treasurer (Member since May 2009)
Mark and his wife, Teresa, live in Winnetka and have been parishioners
at Ss. Faith, Hope and Charity since September 2001, following their
move from San Francisco where they were parishioners at St. Dominic's.
Their children attend New Trier High School, Carleton W. Washburne School
and Skokie School, with two currently enrolled in the RE Program, the
oldest having been confirmed in 2009. Mark is a patent attorney and
shareholder with Vedder Price P.C. in Chicago.
Jennifer H. Ellerman (Member since May 2008)
Jennifer and her husband, Brian, have been parishioners at Ss. Faith,
Hope and Charity since 1998. She has served as a catechist for the past
5 years. She has also been involved with other activities at the parish
including serving as a Eucharistic Minister. Jennifer lives in Kenilworth
with her three children, Phillip, William, and Caroline, and serves
various other organizations.
Kathryn Garvey (Member since May 2009)
Kathy and her husband, Patrick, moved from St. Clement Parish in Chicago
five years ago. Their son, Jack, is nine years old and in the fourth
grade at Joseph Sears School and the FHC Religious Education Program.
Kathy has been involved with the Women’s Guild activities and
the parish outreach through the soup kitchen in recent years.
Liz Hardt, Secretary (Member since May 2009)
Liz has been a member of Sts. Faith, Hope & Charity Parish since
attending school there from 1st through 8th grade. She has been active
in the Religious Education program for several years and serves as a
catechist for the third grade. Liz is currently a teacher's aide at
Willow Wood Preschool in Winnetka, and she is active in the Crow Island
PTO, where her children attend school. She lives in Winnetka with her
twin children.
Scott Kaufman (New Member May 2010)
Scott and his wife, Patricia, have been parishioners at Ss. Faith, Hope
and Charity for 3 years. Scott and Patricia live in Winnetka, with their
two children, Patrik, and Norah.

Patrick Zelten, Co-Chair (Member since May 2009)
Patrick and his wife, Debbie, have been parishioners at Ss. Faith, Hope
and Charity since 1999. He has previously served as a catechist in the
Religious Education Program as well as a volunteer in other parish activities.
Patrick lives in Kenilworth and has three children, Emily, Peter, and
Matthew, who are all in the Religious Education Program.
